About the work
This is a classical Roman portrait bust of Julius Caesar, the statesman of ancient Rome. It is designed for studies, libraries, offices, reception rooms and collector shelves.
Four finishes are offered: marble optic, bronze optic, full colour, and marble optic with gold details. These names describe the painted surface only; the bust is resin, not marble, stone or metal. The bust comes in 15, 25, 40 and 55 cm and as a 70 cm lifesize version, about 6 to 28 in. Sizes up to 40 cm fit a shelf or display cabinet; the 55 cm and 70 cm busts suit a living room, study or salon.
Each bust is made to order. The digital model is prepared for the chosen size and printed in resin. Supports are removed, the surface is sanded and the form is checked before the finish is applied by hand. Small differences in colour and surface between pieces come from this hand finishing.
